I explain how I use a wireless access point as a repeater so I can mount the antenna high in the house and repeat the signal throughout the house.

An access point has to be used because the 2.4GHz signal used for WiFi is heavily attenuated in cable runs at anything over just a few feet. So running a long cable from the high mounted antenna to computer would never work.

    lol i use comcast and its CHEAP plane gives phone, cable, internet and if u buy a $3 amplifyer from comcast theyl set it up and the whole house will have STRONG!!!! wirless internet

    He’s got it on repeater mode, now his neighbors will get access to the free wifi because of his antenna and router. He does all the work, neighbors get it for free lol

    As someone else mentioned…Upgrade your antenna cable to something better that is shielded.

    And maybe put some shielding on those large electrical cables shown in the video!

    Magnetic gauss fields, signal crosstalk and interference…

    Not good!

    Give the second AP a different SSID – of course!

    Change the coax to a higher grade, or shorten it, also set the router to client mode, and connect a seperate AP (by CAT5) on a channel as far from the main AP, and your speed should improve, as the Repeater will half your speed.
